I believe Matchbox has always had the best selection of emergency rides!!!

I would tend to agree - Matchbox has always done very well about keeping a variety of emergency vehicles in their line-up

If it weren't for Matchbox's devotion to realistic emergency vehicles (licensed and otherwise), I might not have much interest in Matchbox at all. They're A-OK with me because they make darn good fire engines and other vehicles.

I whole hardheartedly agree with all of this. I love their attention to the realism with the emergency models! This has always been my focus since I was very young. Heck, the first M.B. I bought for myself when I was 4 y.o. was the MB 29 Fire Pumper.

I just wish they'd keep up in terms of quantity....there have been an excessive amount of Fire and Police releases over the past year and only 1 ambulance (nice new casting mind you) but only 1.

These are good castings, some of Matchbox's best. Though I will say, the new Scania is just as much as they are. I'm surprised the MBX managed such a heavy casting with crisp detail (though they did leave off the truck's main "escape" ladder for some reason).

Matchbox can occasionally do some nice stuff. 2020 isn't looking that great, to be honest. We're only getting the Caprice. But, I've still got hope for existing castings. I know we're getting a Boone County SSP.

I would love to see Matchbox come out with more 5 packs with all emergency vehicles, with different color schemes👍 I would also like to see new tooling or castings of pumpers, ambulances, rescues, ladders, and police cars. They could call it “Matchbox Emergency Series” 👍👍👍 And it would be really nice if the people at Matchbox could come out with new castings of emergency vehicles like Ward Lafrance, Mack - C, Mack- CF tower ladders, Snorkles, Rescues, Ambulances, and New police vehicles. And I agree with everyone here that Matchbox has always had the best selection of old and new fire apparatus, Police, and Medical Diecast vehicles. A remake of the original firehouse that came out in the sixties would be insane🤗🤗🤗

Funny, as I was composing and posting my Apparatus Bay note I was thinking just that....why isn't there an ambulance in this mix? But I'll take two police cars and a brush truck now and I'm sure dispatch will send an ambulance along in the next case....but, when will that case actually hit stores? John (Lambert's) video had a original post date of October 25....but if that's true I wonder how I missed it then?

Probably good I did miss it....I'd have been frothing at the mouth all month long instead of maybe only a week or less (restock day at my nearest WM is Friday....but it's also Black Friday and today the MB pegs were almost bare as they've been since I and others raided the Case R (last of '19) load in the past week or so...so I probably have to check morning and night for the next 3 days to make sure I get one of each...'cause we're now in the era of a "new batch" only every two months....based on the hopeful concept (by Mattel) that not having repeats in a case, but spacing them apart further increases the chance stores will restock 'original' cases more frequently and leave fewer 'peg warmers' when a 'new' batch has a bunch of previous versions mixed in...

We'll see. (I've still infrequently NOT found everything I want locally if I can just hold my britches for a while....)

In my opinion, this "new case every two months" idea is pretty poorly thought out. Local stores only get probably half the batches anyway, and to make up for fewer new cases; they'll just order twice as much. Meaning pegwarmers will warm the pegs more.

For example, Working Rigs, at my Walmart may sit a month or two with barren pegs. Recently, they did restock with the latest batch (blue Western Star wrecker, white Pierce) We've not gotten any Moving Parts since the first batch.

Agree, with the failure to ever really address the distribution issues I feel this will only increase issues. For about six months last year a couple area WM's had two pegs for RWR, but none ever showed up, with the fall reset the pegs were redistributed for other merchandise. A local Mom and Pop Toy and Hobby Shop is been my main source for RWR, but the owner told me he will place an order for MBX and it will be months before it shows up so its hard to keep the stock constant.

I would really enjoy seeing Matchbox offer more various emergency vehicles - kind of a smaller version of what Code 3 had offered but know that is not realistic. The distribution continues to be a major problem and the latest methods seems to have only made things worse. Most of my trips to stores finds little new with the exception of my recent trip to Minot. I have been fortunate to have fellow collectors help me get most of the current emergency vehicles for my collection - including the gold Seagrave and Hudson. As for the RWR models, my last stop at Wal Mart saw the Scania police truck and the Roanoke fire truck on the pegs (wonder where they have been hiding?)
