The bodies are metal except the Halo safety device which is plastic. There isn't any detail in the cockpit. The Nissan and DS Automobiles cars are "exclusive" to this 5 pack. I guess that means the 0ther 3 cars are sold as singles however where I live Walmart stopped carrying new Majorette products 3 years ago so I'd never see these here.. I had to get these from a distributer in Germany.

The plastic base. The wheels have rubber tires.

    Nice set!

Things are getting better with overseas shipping. Bought some cars from the UK here recently, and less than 5 days (4?) later, they passed customs and into USPS hands in Queens. And that was with the cheapest shipping (like $8 for two cars), which was surprisingly tracked (good thing about USPS Informed Delivery--it shows EVERY package addressed to me that I will receive, even if seller doesn't provide it). That's a record; even counting pre-COVID times.

These look really cool and now I'm tempted to order a set. I really like the fact that most of the sponsors are on the model, versus some other brands that will include some but not others. Now if we could only have an F1 set...

I was actually surprised that it arrived in just 8 days since I am in Canada and I have had things shipped to me from 250 miles away take just as long.

The cars in the set are nicely done with excellent paintwork for basically toy cars however I would classify these as more for the older collector and not for smaller folks who like to engage in rougher play since the Halo device seems like it would come off if played with the way an 8 year old would. I do wish they had either included a driver figure or some details in the cockpit. My two favourites are the Nissan and GEOX cars. For those interested I believe this set can be found at Target in the USA for $12.99

As far as I can find it looks like only Majorette and Hot Wheels are producing 1:64 scale Formula E Gen 2 cars at this time.

Yes an F1 set in 1/64 with the new style of cars would be very cool. I'd definitely buy that.

Thanks for the review and photos!
These are neat, but I'm not into Formula-E, so not neat enough for me to want to buy the set for only one exclusive car.
Hopefully the Nissan will see a release as a single eventually.
I collect what I like, and I like what I collect.

I just started watching Formula-E and I love it! Lots of bumping and grinding and there is a strategy in terms of boost power. I also love the sound of these cars. So futuristic!
Here they are racing in the rain! Cars flying everywhere! Watch what happens at the end...
