lets say i have posted a picture.
then i want to add to the post.i hit the edit button.
i know i must be doing something wrong.
because if i click on a picture i can delete.

what do i have to do to be able to add pictures to a post i am editing?

i have tried going to bottom right corner of the last picture and trying to use the enter key to get a new line.but it does not work.

in the past i have deleted all the pics in a post and started over...but for me those days are gone.

so some one please tell me what i need to do.

Pics can be a bit of a pain. Click on the image, should be a yellow border...if you do anything it will affect the pic. Click again and get a blue border. Then I use the arrow key (usually right arrow, but I have used the left to go before the pic) and you will see the cursor flash outside of the pic border, I usually hit enter a time or two and start writing.

I've messed up a lot of pics, so I understand what you are saying. I'm using a standard keyboard on a desktop, I don't know how it might be different with a smart phone or tablet.
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

well i went and tried Wes's ideas and nothing changed.
i guess this is something i will have to learn to work around..

i went to one of my posts.
        hit the edit button.
went to the picture. right clicked.no yellow border appeared.all i got was a dropdown window offering about 12 options of what to do with the pic.
so then i left clicked.and a new dropdown window offered the image properties for the pic.

like the Chicago Cubs say at the end of most seasons..oh well we tried, maybe in another 100 years we will get back there.

I've run into that issue too, I suppose if we could get into a habit of putting a period right after posting a picture, or at least the last photo, then when editing, the cursor would always be able to go to that last punctuation mark right after the photo, since it is text.

upload image, yellow border, right arrow, enter, start writing

            image snip1.png
edit, double click image - don't do this

            image snip2.png
edit, click on image, right arrow, the bar on the right will appear and flash on and off, hit enter and start writing.

Maybe different browsers or operating systems do different, but this works for me. Windows 10 and Edge (works for me also in Chrome)
