    Got the new Jeeps that I wanted and another National Parks model

    Was surprised on a recent road trip to find the new Jeep series on the pegs at a Wal Mart - was a little concerned as the pegs they had them on had a $3.47 price but they rang up at 94 cents apiece. The '48 Willys Jeepster is awesome - great detail trim on the front!

    Along with the National Parks Jeep they also had the National Parks Garbage Truck on the pegs - it was an interesting assortment of newer and older stuff - lot of it had been knocked down onto the shelves so did a bit of digging which is when I found the garbage truck -

    Congrats John, I got all those too, Matchbox has been doing some great stuff lately.

      Nice find! Any chance there are any more of the two jeeps? They aren't selling them around my area.

            I found these three hours from home and won't be back that way for a while but can certainly check at the Bismarck Wal Mart's when I am there tomorrow.

              Ah, darn it! I have both of them which I bought for you months ago! PM me if Keith hasn't already made my laziness a moot point! They're still sitting right on my dining room table to make me remember to get back to you Dan.....I am so sorry I forgot all about them even when I see them every time I sit down at that table....

                  I just found that Jeep and the CJ one as well........MB is making some wonderful stuff......

                    these are cool
                    but IF I ever got a real used ex-USFS vehicle I will put the logo on it but the tree is cut down & put on it "For Unoffical Use Only"

                      I like the Willys. A little outside my collecting range, but very nicely done.

                      I don't collect the National Parks models, but I'm happy to see other collectors enjoying them. It's nice that the Matchbox team continues to offer them.

                        Glad to hear that Keith and Blair could help a fellow collector. My stop at the Bismarck Wal Marts found no Jeeps at all on the pegs.

                              Saw a 'sneak peak' at the first 2020 batch from the Matchboxworld Instagram (via John Lambert/Tilley's Lamleygroup blog)....and it looks like the next National Parks entrant will be one of the 'new' classic pickups....but not the GMC with the 'wooden side rails'....maybe the '47 Chevy?
