In the last week I have apparently gotten 2 "visitor messages", or at least that's what the notification said. The first time, I clicked on it and it led me to some thing on my profile with no text. Then today I got another one, and when I click on it it just brings me to the home page. What's going on?

Sorry about the one from today, that was me and my fat fingers on my smart phone. I went to post on a discussion and accidently did it on your profile page. I deleted the message and posted it where it belonged in the proper thread (it was the stacked truck photos). I'm able to delete messages since I'm on staff.
Not sure about the first one you received.I collect what I like, and I like what I collect.

If I understand correctly the visitor message is like a PM but from anyone who ever wanted to message you even if they're not a member. Also visitor messages are public. Anyone looking at your profile can see them.
Kind of pointless feature and one that I've been thinking of turning off.Comment

I haven't made a big thing of it, but it is good to have to try to get someone's attention, but as you say it can be seen by anyone who chooses to go look.
Maybe ask around, if folks use it we'll keep it, if not we can turn it off.Comment
