I've tried several ways to photograph the entire vintage MB collection, but am never satisfied with what I come up with. These are the latest...
Many times I have considered selling out the majority of my collection. Maybe because I am getting to old to enjoy them as I used to. The over~all collection has become quite large and kind of difficult to care for and keep. Everytime I get in one of those crazy slumped moods, I get to trying to separate the cars I may want to keep and ones to part with. The "KEEP" pile always gets bigger than the sell pile very quickly. When I come inside where I keep these vintage MBs, I realize there is no way I can part with these. Any of them. The memories almost everyone of them possess is almost as clear as the day I got them. I was only 4 years old back then. I have had these cars since 1959 and grew from there. After my grandma, mom, grandpa, and I filled the first case, except for 6 or 8 slots, my great uncle gave me these 6 old, old Lesneys and said he wanted to help me fill my case. That is just one fond, fond memory!!!

I hear ya brother! That case is my favorite one. Never had it as a kid, but have a few choice examples now. Nothing in them though. Just collectibles in their own right. Those are some mighty fine models and I enjoyed the last four photos. None of those models are in my collection, but would like them to be. They must have been just before my time.- Jeff
