  • blue circle with the double arrow heads.

in the past when i clicked on to the blue circle it would take me to the last post i viewed in that topic.now it just takes me to the top of the page.and i have to scroll down to where it use to take me.
has some thing about the site been changed? or could i have changed something by accident?

I noticed that too, but know Wes mentioned there was a site update earlier in the week, wonder if that has anything to do with it, of course since I always forget to click on those arrows, (and after I open the long thread first by accident, those arrows go away, and then it's a lot of clicking to get to the last post), so I'm also wondering if the page buttons like at the bottom could be added to the top, for those forgetful people like me.

I’ve reported this to support, but when I mentioned it before their response was, well it works on our board, so the underlying code is not at fault, therefore it’s your browser

It only started after they applied some patch, so hopefully they will look into it a bit further..

Doug, it takes a second or two to load, but there is a Go to Bottom button at the top of the page. And a go to Top in posts and also at bottom of page. It doesn’t help much if the first new post is somewhere in the middle, but it may save some scrolling.

Can people experiencing this problem please tell me what Operating system you have and what browser please, eg windows 10 and chrome, or in my case Windows 7 and firefox.

I'm also interested to hear what people are using that don't have the problem.

For instance....I love the two words worth thread, but it is now up to 16 pages and growing - doesn't matter what access I use, I go to the start - there is no "Vbottom" button (I just checked, there is one on this board), and this time it timed me out using the back button to get out of it. The last may be a fluke, first I've noticed, but the rest is ongoing since before the update. And not just the two words thread...it is every thread including the staff room.

Windows 10, right now using Edge, have also tried Chrome with no difference.
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

            Thank you for your understanding.

The "blue circle with the double arrow heads" is the "go to first new post" button.

              sample002.jpg

Currently it takes me to the top of the last page (if there is only one page, then the first post of that page, otherwise it directs me to the first post of the most recent page).

I'm Windows 10, Chrome (home). Also happens on Windows 7, Chrome (work).

Here is the location of the "V Bottom" button (see image below) (again, Windows 10, Chrome)

So far I've never encountered a timed out issue. I remain logged in all the time.

JT, have you set how many posts to a page, in your account settings?
The Bottom button takes a second to load and become visible.

Im not impressed with the fb support. There seems to be only two guys, and the cloud team are a seperate entity to the vbconnect team. Helping an individual, board doesn’t seem to warrant their attention.

That seems to have done the trick.

I have firefox and win7. So it doesn't seem to be browser or os related.
