Well, that is quite the collection Douglas. I like that yacht action and that first one with the Mercedes Truck. A lot of cool stuff here. Quite amazing the condition these are all in. They are old, aren't they?
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

Thanks Daniel, Most of them are old , ranging from the mid 70's up until early 90's, except the last photo are ones from recent years, maybe within the last 10 years or so.

Thanks Scotty, I don't know what my thing is with the packages, I guess I just really like the art and history of them, and maybe some reminiscence of how you might have felt finding them like this in stores all those years ago.

I get it for sure, the packages are wonderful. My Matchbox Lady at the toy show always a few for sale but those vintage ones are out of my price range.

These were so very cool, but the only one I ever seen on the pegs was the Ford Escort and boat. I believe it was a K~Bee toy store many moons ago. I never knew there were so many varies and selections of them!!!

I can't remember which boat it came with though...

I do remember seeing these on the pegs years later...

Thanks Steve, Glad you noticed the set that helped pair yours back up, your other boat is also from a Two Pack, if you look at the first picture in post #3 you'll see it there teamed up with another of the same Escorts only this one in matching blue color as the boat.

Those are so cool to see still in the packages Douglas. I have fond memories of buying them at many stores that either no longer exist or where in they days when places like JC Penny still had an actual separate toy department. At one time I had most of these (out of the package) but over the course of downsizing many went on to other garages for others to enjoy!

Doug, you definitely have some excellent two packs there! The very first photo made me do some database updates. i,e, I didn't know the "transcontinental haulage" set was "TP-1."
