Part of the fun of collecting is collecting what we like. The dangerous part is there are getting to be more nice, "higher end", models out there. I just blew my budget for a while buying several ERA Car emergency vehicles at $14 apiece. I do not normally spend that much for one model but these are not the easiest to get and every once in a while have decided to treat myself and then ask, "Did I really just spend that much for one car?" But in these stressful days I have always found much relaxation in my collection - that helps keep the days more on the calm side especially after those wee hour calls at 2 AM. Most of the time I am more than happy with my Matchbox and GreenLight models but once in a while - you just gotta do it!

As a budding Auto World collector, the cars certainly have a lot of value and the quality is more consistent (not flawless). Which car did you get if you can’t share any pictures?

I customize junked-out Lesney and Universal Matchbox, black-box Tomy, Yatming/Zylmex/Playart, Majorette, and whatever else fits my tastes, plus I customize newer Matchbox & Hot Wheels and collect newer GL, AW, M2 and JL, but I am slowly getting into German, French and Asian premium diecast, I'm only collecting my most favorite real cars in that regard. Mostly true 1/64 microcars/Kei cars, JDM/EEC counterparts of Malaise Era and Rad era oddities, and European exotics like Lancia, Abarth & Alfa Romeo. Planning on putting some of my stimulus toward importing my first Kyosho, a Lancia Fulvia standard steel coupe

Which car did you get? Personally I do not have any AW, just one M2 and a bunch of GLs. Someday I will get one of those lifted squarebodys though!
