Thanks for looking Mike. I fell in love with the Hot Wheels 1938 Ford COE when it was introduced in the 100% line. My first encounter was the Moon Equipped duo with the '56 F-100. After receiving the '56 pickup the '38 Box Van was packed away. They are quite detailed for a HW. After researching, I ended up chasing down 13 of the examples. The COE cab was used in a shorter version truck in the mainline group too. Scale is advertised as 1:64 but is WAY too small compared to M2 or Greenlight. Kinda like Jada and Maisto being a bit too large.

The Elwood's Custom trailer and the Airstream flatbed came to me packaged and unopened. The trailer was pristine. The flatbed was pristine but the packaging was covered with dust, the acrylic case scratched and yellowed by the sun and cardboard showing about 18-20 years of abrasion. Of course I liberate all my models. All of these were found on Ebay for $15.00 - $35.00 range.
    Thank YOU!

If not too much trouble, could you photograph an M2 rig alongside the HW rig. I'm really liking several of the Hot Wheels COE, but would like to get a better feel for their actual size before commiting to any. I think as long as they come close, I'd be okay with them.

Thank you again! Yes, that helps!

I think it's doable, and would blend in with my mostly 1/64 diorama plans, especially if used in the background...

                      • I had an extra transporter. I removed the van box body easily with triangle-head screws. I actually have a set of these drivers. I scuffed uo the tampo and resprayed with metallic aluminum paint. It pairs up well with the Rosso Red Shelby Collectible roadster.

                          • Some colors complement each other nicely. Saturday morning, I guess I'll make breakfast now.
