  • Where's the molds?

I wonder if these cool castings of Racing Champions will be released through Auto World or rereleased through Racing Champions?

These were all really nice castings and I would like to see them on the pegs again. All the molds for the Fast and Furious cars too.

I like to see that 1950 Ford done for sure. It appears that Auto World is joining the rest of them making a lot of different colors of the present castings. I'm a Ford man but really do I think the new Ford F-150 is going to impressed me more than the Greenlight version? I don't think so. Something different whether it's my preference doesn't matter. I just like to see something new. We do have the 1973 Cheyenne though and I'm looking forward to seeing the black one.
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

Hopefully not those exact castings. AW detail and proportions are too good for those old molds.

It would be cool to see all of these as actual new castings from Auto World - the RC models were nice for their day but thinking how much better they could be with the technology used today by Auto World and others.

I just dug out my RC 50 Ford in cream. Such a cool casting with opening hood and detailed underside.

I'd agree with John. For the most part the RC castings were great 20 years ago. If AW wants to issue them as recasted and all new then that's great.

The other I wouldn't mind seeing again is the Duesenberg

So yeah, some of the stuff RC did could stand an update, but some of the stuff was actually pretty good and under-rated. The Coyote / McLaren maybe could stand a little modernization since it dates back to the early 1980s with Ertl, most of its contemporaries are long outdated, but this one is pretty much timeless.

Don't change a thing on the Deusie...it is perfect in every issue, fooling with it now would ruin it.

RC's are pre-2000 technology with odd scales and proportions. Junk them and concentrate on AW's.

Odd scale isn't the end of the world. Don't like, don't buy. Easy peesy.

In fact I stopped buying RC's and there haven't been any new cars for a year or more.
