Until now, I always thought that the only difference between these two variants of the 203-A VW Beetle Convertible was the wheels.
Okay, strictly speaking there are three differences: color of the hubs, wheel type and wheel size.

This week I noticed two other differences.
On the older model with the chrome hubs, the rear logo is silver on a dark background. The background is missing in the later model.

It gets even more interesting at the front: The air inlet below the bumper is in the form of a grille. In the later model, the vertical struts were left out.
