The 4700 was produced in the mid 1980s by Versatile and was optioned with a 3.9 liter Cummins diesel. Versatile began producing swathers in 1954 and broke new ground with the addition of an actual steering wheel. Previous efforts from others utilized levers. The 4700 had a 20 foot head making decent size cuts through fields. This 1/64 model was issued by Scale Models in the 1980s and remained in production for several years. While no one will be cutting hay in February it's nice to ponder about green grass and spring planted crops.
