    This is by no means all the variety of wheels Matchbox offered in the 1950's and 60's, but I believe it is all the main types on the 1-75 range used in that era.

    I cannot really say with any degree of certainty as the time frame of the wheel types, maybe somebody can help with that, or if you have any additions for this thread.
    The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Silver plastic wheels were in use from 1959 to 1964, according to Stannard. There was a lot of overlap among the wheel types, so it is virtually impossible to establish a "correct" chronological sequence for each model.

      In the mid 60's through the end of the decade, Matchbox also offered the hub type wheels in 3 colors that I'm aware of, these were colored plastic in red, yellow, and green,, and on more than one occasion one of the other hub colors than what was common for a particular model was used instead, usually in short runs, so they can make for some rare variations.
