Brian - that is an awesome design that your sister-in-law did for her DARE unit.

June seemed to fly by in a minute, maybe it was the ton of OT at work, maybe to much teaching on the side, maybe to much coaching baseball, I don't really know where it went. Anyway I figured I'd bring you guys back a few weeks to some pictures of rigs attending a live fire training.

The town of Plymouth CT is served by the Terryville Volunteer Fire Dept which operates out of three stations. Engine 5 runs out of the Plymouth Company and is a 2007 Spartan MetroStar / Rosenbauer with a 1250 pump and 1000 gallons of water.

The Town of Cheshire CT is known as the bedding plant capital due to the numerous farms and greenhouse that once filled the community. In recent decades much of the land has been developed into neighborhoods and has developed into a fairly affluent suburb. The CFD covers about 33 square miles and a population of over 25,000 from three stations and a prodomintely volunteer force.
Engine 1 responds out of Company 2 with this 2001 Pierce Dash model.

I also took some pictures of the police agency’s vehicles that protect Disney World in Florida.

Back in the second week of August, we rented a beach cottage in the Misquamicut section of Westerly RI for a week. Along the week we found a few sights worth taking in. The town of Westerly has four separate fire districts (Westerly, Watch Hill, Misquamicut and Dunn's Corner)

My first morning I went out for a run while the kids were still waking up and caught these two rigs clearing a fire alarm at a hotel.

Misquamicut is the smallest district with only two engine for fire apparatus. Engine 202 is this 2017 Ferrera pumper.

Dunn's Corner runs this 100 FT E-One Tower

Another day I took a different route on my morning run and went by the MFD station and found one of their Beach Trucks outside. The MFD has three beaches that are open only to pass holders that have property in the fire district, we were fortunate that our cottage included a beach pass to these much less crowed beaches then those public and hotel ones.

Another run took me by a SNF, where I caught this Ambulance one morning.

While running to the grocery store, we found this Dodge Type I box sitting in a parking lot.

I really don't know much about boats, but found this one at the Watch Hill Municipal Dock.

One evening my boys and me visited the Misquamcut FD to trade a patch, during our visit we became aware of that they had a boat, so we stopped to see that another day on our way back from an activity, which is docked at the fire district's marina!

A recent visitor we had at work is this 2021 Sutphen Demo 100' Tower Truck.

And for those of you who have never climbed the aerial, a little view from the top!

It was very nice outside today so I took advantage of the weather and took some pictures. I got a nice shot of the East Meadow volunteer fire department Headquarters. Then I was able to get some pictures of The Elmont fire district Headquarters and a few of their equipment. The Elmont rescue is a 2007 Ferrara inferno, and the ladder is a 2009 Ferrara 107ft. The fire police is a dodge van.

Wilton's neighbor of New Canaan has a combination department running out of one Station in the town center. They have a six man shift staffing an engine and either the ladder, rescue or tanker depending on the call location. The volunteer's will man the reaming of those mentioned rigs along with three additional engines. Ladder 3 is a 2003 Seagrave 100 FT RMA built on a low profile chassis due to height restrictions in their Station.

Not sure how authentic this Caprice in CHP markings is, but came upon her out front a shop in Massachusetts.
