  • Sky Busters

I know that this website's dedicated to cars, but out of curiosity, is there anybody here who collects old Sky Busters? I found a few in flea markets and I realised their wheels were similar to the old lesney wheels, so now I display them together with my Lesney Matchbox car collections.

I think Sky Busters are quite welcome here, probably a number of diecast collectors here have some, I know I have a small tub full of older and newer, still packaged, but some of them have really captured my attention. Even have an old Airport Playcase for use with Sky Busters.

There are a few Skybusters in The Closeum hangar for sure. Also have some other small scale aircraft (Dinky comes to mind). Cool airport play case.

Had a few over the years - most are gone except for a couple that are in my sale post.

I collect the 'emergency' aircraft models of SkyBusters. I'm thrilled that many firefighting "air tankers" have been produced/released in the line, and I'm a fan of most of the helicopter releases because most of them seem to also be "emergency" related, like Police, air ambulances or "RSQ" ships. But I've also picked up the Boeing 737 for Alaska Airlines, and almost bought the new Boeing 747 model I saw on the pegs this week. (I opted to buy the RSQ Chinook (CH-47) helicopter instead on this trip....it has the Maltese cross fire dept badge on the sides.)
