Well, guess I might as well go ahead and move my thread over from the old site.

This was last weekend's Dollar General Finds; all Matchbox.

    Nissan Titan Warrior Concept.

Mercedes W123 Wagon. I've liked this era of Mercedes and before. The cost on the wagons is a bit, well, stupid these days. But, a sedan is almost in my budget range. If I see one under 5 grand at a used car lot, and it's in good shape, I may buy it.

Stunt Plane. Almost convincing as a WWII dogfighter; but the casting represents a modern racing aircraft, most likely the GP-5, which was built in 2007; the same year the original casting originally came out. While Tailwinds (Maisto) and Hot Wings (Daron Worldwide; based on an old Zylmex line, and occasionally uses its old toolings) do good with realism, and never do unrealistic stuff, Skybusters often does.

Never seen the Titan yet, it looks kind of Ford like, and I like it.

Hope you find that car that's right for you, at the right price.

Found Woot! had the Cars and Donuts set for $20; a little less than what it would cost me in a store. I'm still a bit in the Stone Age when it comes to this hobby online, but with me not being a big fan of Walmart anyhow (and them being the only close option for diecast); online works for some things. Took it in the kitchen, since in my room, I'm doing housekeeping.

Matchbox Hummer H2 SUV Concept "Marine Rescue".

Matchbox Space Shuttle Discovery/Endeavour. At first, I thought it was a mistake having "Endeavour" on the nose, but "Discovery" on the wing) but Discovery and Endeavour took part in the last two missions of the Space Shuttle program, STS-133 and STS-134, respectively. Thus, I believe this to be the MBX design team's way of paying tribute to the last two missions.

That could be hit or miss depending on your area and distribution center. And I hate hit or miss, because MBX is about the only reason I go to Walmart. Dollar General always stocks really old stuff. What I brought home was about all the new stuff I found (total of about 5 MBX on the pegs, maybe a dozen mainline HW) Pegs were barren yet again at this Walmart, yet seems most here are, at present, finding all the newest 2020 stuff, premium lines, RWR, Convoy, etc. Given the Hummer was part of the most recent batch, something's fishy. I'm thinking either MBX is finally selling well, or some scalper bought everything on the pegs from the newest batch.

The Space Shuttle is interesting, I've had mine for a while now and never even noticed the Endeavor near the nose, guess if I'd actually spent a little time looking at it instead of just placing it my NASA cabinet, I would have realized it.

The funny thing is I actually have an issue with Endeavor in an old Mission Force set, with both the name on wing and up front, which now makes me wonder if the Discovery I missed when out a couple years ago had its name in both places too, and this new issue is different in that way from past releases. hmmm.

Anyway, Congrats on finally finding it, and the Hummer, which I also had a similar experience at my Walmart when I found the Hummer, that is, amongst the other models on the pegs, it was the only one there that I noticed from that new batch, are the other models in that batch just so popular everybody wants them, I don't know.

As of late, the only diecast-carrying (other than old HWs) place I've been able to get to is Dollar General. Everything there is either late 2018 or early-mid 2019.

Hazard Squad 2019 release copying a 5-Pack livery from 2011, even down to the blue window unit.

Cessna Caravan. I had a smaller floatplane from the mainline many years ago that had folding wings. Can't recall what happened to it. This is actually, specifically a 208 Caravan Amphibian from what I've looked up.

From Eric's recent sale. I'm beginning to focus more on older stuff these days.

Hot Wheels '56 Ford Panel. Wanted this one, as I figured it weighed quite a bit, and had an opening hood. I have a newer issue, but the hood is sealed. Definitely one of the nicer HWs. This was a Walgreen's exclusive in 2001.

Matchbox Mack Auxillary Power Truck/Heavy Rescue. A casting that's been in my collection since more or less, the beginning. This is my first older fire issue, however. I have one Airport issue from the '00s, a couple Action Launcher issues, Highway Dept. (red, yellow, white--bought originally to detampo for customs; but have been left as-is) and Reithoeffer Circus. But no real emergency issues; when it seems for many years, the Mack MR was very popular with Virginia rescue squads. Except my town--we had a Freightliner. When the rescue squad switched to EMS, the truck got transferred to the county originally, and later it returned to Bluefield as the FD's Heavy Rescue company; replacing their tiny Ford F-550 rescue/brush truck.

Matchbox Mercedes Benz MB Trac. Always wanted one for some reason; but procrastinated getting one. Seems the earliest, accurate issues are hard to find. Rubber tires, and a hitch. Good detailing as well. 1/75 scale, so maybe Oxford OO implements will work.

                            Majorette Saviem Tanker. Metal tank!

                            Nice cast-in detail.

Majorette Jeep Cherokee 4x4. Another I've wanted to get but procrastinated.
