  • Tomica 3000GT meets Auto World Stealth

I’ve been looking forward to making this comparison ever since I saw that Auto World was planning to do the Dodge Stealh, which has finally arrived!

I think they did a great job, and the scale of both models is as close as can be for two different manufacturers.

I look forward to collecting more Auto World Stealths... and Tomica GTOs, too (if they ever get around to make a recolor of this model).

Major props to AW as this looks like a great model. Detail to the rims and tires is excellent.

Thanks for the comparison IIRC Tomica premium is not strictly 1/64 so we can trust AW for scale.

But a picky side of me can't unsee AW sitting a bit too high. Still a good casting though.

The Stealths and 3000GT's were quite high from the factory. Almost crossover like.

I managed to find an example of the red Stealth but it had a major issue with the left hand headlight so I'm keeping it carded and i'm gonna look for another one.

From a distance, the new Stealth in the blister looks like a 2002 Camaro for laughing out loud.
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

Funny you should say that because I knew a 3000GT car salesman when they came out. I took a test drive and said to him "Let me guess, going after the Pony car crowd?", he said "Yeah, mostly after GM"......

Ironically these were a price above the pony car crowd. in the Corvette price bracket.

They were a bit pricey. But man they drove so well, like a slot car around corners.

They were maintenance nightmares as well.
