    That's actually a GTX...





    I never really knew or seen much difference in the GTX or the Road Runner except for the emblems...

    I sold Plymouth back in the day. The biggest difference was price. The GTX was up scale, designed to compete with GM and Ford's muscle cars. It came standard with a 440 and premium bucket seats. Road Runners had the 383 standard with a bench set and base interior trim. Both had a long option list. In 1967, there was only a GTX and they sold very well. In 68, the Road Runner came out and GTX sales slowed while Road Runners outsold production. GTX sales dropped off every year.
