  • 2021 Hot Wheels Calendar

Well it's that time again, I often get the newest HWs calendar from Dollar Tree at the end of the year, and here is the one for 2021.

Sorry I didn't open it this year, because this one is actually for my friends, instead, for me, I saw this Tonka calendar in the box, and knew the toy trucks shown in that one fit my style better than custom cars. So if anybody wants a better photo of something in that, just let me know, and I'd be happy to oblige.

wow, I haven't seen a Hot Wheels calendar in a LOT of years. I usually get a muscle car or vintage car calendar every year for personal use. I've had my 2021 for about a month already. I'm ready for 2020 to be over with.
The image file limits have been reset. We have over-limit warnings for the past 3 months and I've had to lower the image file limits. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I know I've mentioned many times before, but it is very important to downsize images - doesn't matter if they are hosted elsewhere or here. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The new limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

Funny thing, I actually thought it might lift peoples spirits a bit just to see a new calendar year printed on the front like it is, I know I was happy to see something other than 2020.

One can truly hope that 2021 will bring some positive changes to our hurting world. The date does give one something to hope for - thanks Douglas. I usually end up with a John Deere calendar for my office from the local dealership but the past couple of years Oshkosh has been sending me some neat fire apparatus related calendars that I have been hanging in my office.

I never look for calendars at DT...looks like my routine may be changing....it's the time of year to get those calendars! (Except, I like to wait til after the new year and see if I can get them at a discount...and nowadays many calendars are "16-month" affairs, beginning about 4 months before you go to the store looking for a 'new' calendar. That last bit really fries my rear....

This year I had to seek out my usual favorite (wildland firefighting calendars) and it seems, even with all the fires in the news (including devastating ones that destroyed neighborhoods immediately behind a friend's house in eastern California), there aren't as many available this coming year. Ah, well, I'll still get something with National Parks or the desert southwest's iconic natural features to grace my walls.

If I see a HW calendar (or any diecast or Tonka-themed one) I'll probably pick it up for the 'novelty' of it.

Every year I buy the Classic Cars calendar at DT for work, have never seen a HW one though.

Neat calendars, but for me it has to be trains.

If DT would get a police car, or fire engine calendar, I would likely get that instead, although toy car related suits me just fine instead, but if they would get a Matchbox one, that would beat out any others they might have.

I usually get a free car or motorcycle calendar from my mechanic.
