  • Forgot I Had Them

Just took a peek in a HWs box back in the toyroom this afternoon, and found stuff I didn't know I had, it was a box of older HWs, but found some blister cards a bit newer sitting at the top when I opened it. These date from around 2010 to 2013, which surprises me because I was going through really hard times those years, so didn't spend much on diecast during those years. But somehow I even managed to run across a TH then, the Mustang on the left, the Ferrari in the middle I'm sure I only got to have an example of the keychain included beneath the car. the pick up I do like, but this packaging also comes with a couple stickers also beneath the model.

Here are a few more that were there in the box, the taxi I kind of remember, and thought it was kind of neat looking, as well as the uniquely colored hot pink Combat Medic, the two cars, well I don't know, though green is a favorite color, and these two do look sharp in that color and nice accent striping, so there's that.

    Christmas before Christmas...
The image file limits have been reset. We have over-limit warnings for the past 3 months and I've had to lower the image file limits. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I know I've mentioned many times before, but it is very important to downsize images - doesn't matter if they are hosted elsewhere or here. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The new limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

I think the pink medic was part of 3 car set painted pink for breast cancer awareness. I also think they were only sold at kmart.

Thanks for the info Dan, We did have a couple Kmarts still around the area back then, and I did check them out every so often, so that makes sense.

Some neat stuff there Douglas - you know the funny thing - even when we are going through some of those challenging times in life I have found once in a while I would be someplace like a K-Mart or whatever and a little car or book or something would just be the thing I needed to bring home that day - might have just put it away when got home and found it later and wondered when I got it but tended to keep me smiling through those unsettling times in life's journey.

Unfortunately I'm finding out that the older I get and the bigger my collection gets, I'm having more and more of those "I forgot I had those" moments. Sheeesh
