  • ISSUE - Go To Last Post

I'm having trouble with the "go to last post" feature. It doesn't work for me. When I click it, I always go to the first post in the thread. Anyone else having this problem. I can't find anything in my settings that might fix this.

See attached photo for reference. I've placed a red circle around the "go to last post" icon

    Works for me.
I don't know if it helps but try to change your display mode to "latest activity" in your account settings.
Then it should show the latest post first every time.

Thanks. I think I tried that over the weekend. If I recall, that displays thread posts from newest to oldest. I never liked that layout and have always avoided using it on other forums, but if there is no other option I may have to adjust myself and learn to accept it. I personally prefer when the posts are in chronological order (oldest to newest). It was convenient on Swifty's when you opened a thread, it would typically go to the first unread post.

I agree with you. It's not the best way but i've been using it now and I'm getting used to it.
I liked the way it jumped to the first unread post at Swifty's threads. There was issues too.

          So here's what I've noticed...

          SAMPLE02.jpg

Hovering the cursor arrow over the round down arrows icon (circled in green, on the left) reveals "Go to first new post"
Once you click the icon, it disappears until there is a new post.

Hovering the cursor arrow over the rectangle right arrow icon (circled in red, on the right) reveals "go to last post"
For me, I am always taken to the first post of the thread. This icon remains, no matter how often I click on it.

Clicking on the title of the post also always takes me to the first post of the thread.

I found that changing this feature in account settings simply switches between these two tabs: POSTS and LATEST ACTIVITY, which can be done while viewing any thread.

I'm just picky and don't like the reverse order of the posts.

And to compound it even further, I just noticed if I click a title from the home page, I go to the most recent post...

            SAMPLE05.jpg

Minor nuisances, but I guess I'll get use to them over time.

Forgive me, I will look deeper into this when I have a spare moment. Might be a few days.

I have put this problem on the support board. So far they have been unhelpful.
