I'm interested in all but the Explorer. Really looking forward to these and the coming AMC Matador.

Funny, because the Explorer is the only one that really interests me. Another to add to the 'demo model' fleet!

I'll definitely get the Ranchero and Crown Vic. I'll also get another Ranchero, wipe the 'animal protection' sign off, and turn it into a civilian pick up 😛

The Taxi Cab is now a Police Car? I don't think that car was ever used for a Police Car or the VW unless that is in Germany. I don't want to sound pessimistic but it would be better if it was more true to reality.
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

Both were used as police cars as done by GL. VW used to run an ad with the Rabbit police car.

The Checker was used by a number of US police departments including Chicago, New York City, Kalamazoo, MI and a number of other locations. Just to make some of you smile, the small town of LaConner, WA used a couple of Renault Le Car's for police vehicles.
For me, the Studebaker is at the top of my want list from this series - followed by the Checker.

                Well alright then.

© 2018 ICTA, As we are all aware, Checker Motors Corporation is famous for the taxicabs they manufactured from 1922-1982.  Many are not aware that Checker was more than just a taxicab manufacturer, Checker was a specialty car manufacturer.  Over the course of 60 years, Checker would produce many non-taxi vehicles.  Among the vehicles produced, […]

Oh yes! THE MATADOR!!!! I am so psyched on that one! Love that GL finally filled the void for the great Loewy-designed Studebaker, the pure original model without the fins. I was going to build a custom stock model out of the stock Maisto custom (that sounds bizarre), but I threw out my attempt when I saw what GL has gifted to us! Good ole Kenosha and South Bend get their due respects!!!!!!!

Good ole Kenosha and S Bend died long ago. M2 once promised Studebakers but only the truck materialized. I'm sure they missed the boat on these. Thanks GL.

I'm not understanding this comment. GL is releasing the Starline Coupe and the Matador soon, which to me seems like a resurgence in Studebaker and Rambler / AMC respectively via the 1/64 diecast world. Its taken decades for these cars to get any sort of respect. GL is very profitable from what I understand, and the evidence is its ability to have free-flowing product coming out each month. Except for being 1/64-diecast companies, I can't compare GL with Castline M2. In recent years, M2 has been generally recolors and lucky to put out a new casting a year (I think the Dodge Van is all for 2019). Myself, I am celebrating these two GL releases!

What I'm saying is: AMC and Studebaker don't get any respect from me because they killed them selves. I worked for Chrysler when they took over AMC. We gained Jeep but it took a long time to work out of the Eagle Premier deal. Studebaker couldn't compete with the big three and when the Lark looked like it might help them, they built them until everybody that wanted one got one, then quit with no replacement. The Matador enjoyed some success as a police car in California but it was a commercial flop. I was outbid by AMC on a police car contract in PA. The agency rejected the Matador bid because of previous bad quality with AMC units. I welcome the GL models but I do not worship the 1:1 cars from Kenosha and S Bend.
