TPF made a series of 12 Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) models in 2008, I presume promotional items for Holden directly. They are plastic, but capture the body lines well though the lack of interiors and window glazing does leave what otherwise would be exceptional models a bit short. About half of the models in this series were racers, particularly Bathurst race winners. Though the Walkinshaw is my personal favorite, I think this Maloo is a real eye teaser. Considering the last V8 thunder from General Motors were wrapped in Holden body cladding (and sold here Stateside only as Police Interceptors), it seems fitting that Holden deserves a little more attention than they usually get. And there is the tie in to the previous model...which was more serendipity than planned.
While this series may not be the best, the models covered are seldom seen outside of Oz, so I was very pleased to be able to acquire these when they came around several years ago at the old site (thank you, Dean-O-Mite!).
The TPF Group still exists and can be found online, but diecast isn't their primary "thing," they are a promotional company, so these were just a contract promo item...one and done. (Hard to say that, most of the models have a civilian and race version, but there was only ever the one release and then no more)
