  • Auto World Supra is finally here!

    IS THAT A SUPRA?!
AUTO WORLD 1993 TOYOTA SUPRA (TRUE 1:64)
Joining 2021 Release 1 is the first release of the Auto World TRUE 1:64 Toyota Supra MkIV. In stunning Super White and Alpine Silver this JDM legend has never looked better. Featuring exacting detail from the true-to-scale body to the 2JZ under the hood, this MkIV is sure to smoke the competition.
Preproduction samples subject to improvements in production.
HONESTLY, I think the detail and proportion are comparable to TLV! It blows away the current competitions, namely MiniGT, Tarmac Works and 1/64 Tamiya.
IM INCREDIBLY HAPPY AUTO WORLD DID THIS! This Supra is my no.1 favorite Japanese car from the golden age of Japanese two seaters, 90s.
According to the Lamley Group, a modified tooling with spoiler is also coming.
Also notice the separate plastic headlights.
The only con seems to be the side view mirrors, which is much more crudely made compared to MiniGT or Tarmac Works versions.
Anyhow, considering the price range, this is already 100% satisfactory for me (Tarmac Works Supra costs more than stupid $20).
    Now enjoy the beauty here:

They look great, there's no doubting that. For their price they will be top tier, but overall I don't think they will be able to beat the MiniGT version.

While I think MiniGT Supra is better than TW, Tamiya and Tomica premium ones, and certain details on MiniGT Supra are superior to the AW one, I always had an impression it is not "the definitive" version, because of certain "awkwardness" it has, but I can't put my finger on it.

I think AW did a much better job on the wheels. Also AW should have metal base while MiniGT uses plastic base.

Props to MiniGT they have slightly better rear detail than AW.

Anyways at this point, I kind of feel its a matter of preference.

I hope I can do the side by side comparison, and if it's not me, someone else definitely will.

The topic line is misleading. For those of you who like this sort of thing, these are 2021 REL 1, still months off in the future.

I appreciate the photos and the time you took to put this together. I'm sure a lot of other people do too. These will sell.
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

Really does look top notch! The Ultra Red version is the best! Silver looks great too.

I like the Raw edition. This is a good car evidently they took their time on this one. Unlike that ugly-assed Impala.

Mini GT basically all have metal bases and their Supras definitely do.
Tarmac Supra has a plastic baseplate.
I'm very exicted to see the finished AW Supra and make a comparison. 😃

WOW... That is one great looking car. Looks like AW did a sweet job on it.
Since I had to retire, my wife made budget cuts like crazy. The hardest hit was my diecast buying, the 2nd hardest hit was my guitars and accessories, 3rd was my tools and fishing stuff, and 4th was my cable channels. It don't seem fair I had the first 4 cuts to be hardest hit..
                          .
Anyway I am limiting my cars to American Muscle of the 50s to the 80s.. Although I would like to have this one... Great pics there too!!!.
