This casting has both Cadillac and Lincoln traits and has been called both as well as neither by assorted sources, but I've determined that it is an about 1/72 scale '85-'89 "downsize" Cadillac Fleetwood stretch limo, most likely converted by Ultra Limousine Company of La Palma, CA, with an E&G Classics front end kit that includes fake side mount spare tire bulges and a Rolls-Royce style nose, and rear doors converted to suicide doors.

After I saw a custom of it with no tampos and accurate detailing that brought out the FWD Caddy design, I decided to start collecting/customizing this casting, and found this 2009 "Military Rods" edition Limozeen at a vintage store.

I detampoed the casting with dry erase markers, detailed the running lights and turn signals, painted the interior cadet grey with wood trim and detailed "liquor decanters", "cocktail table" & "CRT TV screen" in the back, wheel swapped it, detailed the grille and lights and rear fascia, and reassembled it after everything dried.

I now have a very nice example of a custom limo like you'd see on "Miami Vice" and "Magnum PI" back in the day.

Great job! With proper wheels (those MBX dish wheels feel right on a LOT of stuff--from vintage muscle cars to large trucks), and a repaint, it looks proper. That's the problem with HW. One issue may be factory stock with just proper detailing, and then the next is an unholy mess with stupid looking tampos. And those tampos may not be easy to get off, and you may have to go nuclear option and just strip and repaint the whole thing. It's why I hate Pop Culture releases so much. So many castings that see little use outside it, and very few that are displayable as-is. It took a long time for us to get a proper ambulance using the new Unimog tool, when we finally got the "Backcountry Paramedics" issue on Car Culture: Off-Road.

Thanks! I totally agree with you. This one was actually completely detampoed, still has stock paint, but the interior was painted.

Good conversion job! I was thinking it would make a great bullet proof limo for some banana republic president

Definitely. I was thinking more along the lines of a one-episode guest character who gets shot or blown up on "Magnum PI", "Airwolf", the original "MacGyver", or "Miami Vice".
