I hope they catch the filth that did this. Yes, the two officers are in my prayers. I also pray that this savagery ends, soon. Protests are one thing, we're way beyond that now.The image file limits have been reset. We have over-limit warnings for the past 3 months and I've had to lower the image file limits. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I know I've mentioned many times before, but it is very important to downsize images - doesn't matter if they are hosted elsewhere or here. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The new limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)
Thank you for your understanding.

Being a police officer in crime riddled Compton is brave.
The reward for info leading to the arrest is growing fast.
Sadly, it could be senseless as a gang initiation.
I blame MSM for stoking the flames of division.
The Monster responsible probably needs prayers too.

Back in those days it didn't bother me so much watching the news, I guess I could more easily ignore what did not belong in the story, and in time hear what did by listening to different accounts of it, but now it is probably a somewhat more difficult task for me to quickly decipher what is actually the news in the story, so I seldom watch it anymore, unless there are things happening around me that I need to know.
An example of the news could be like this story of the shooting, after I looked at this thread, and so did a search for LA shooting, stories about it came up, and I clicked on the very first link, very briefly they described two deputies shot, and where, and an unknown assailant, and a manhunt, then they started to weave into the story, and dominated the article about what happens when the rolls are reversed, although, while yes, personally I feel that too is an important story, and yes, it definitely needs to be address, but separately as another story, It didn't belong as part of the story about these two deputies.Doug

Its been a bit over two years, long before the pandemic and the BLM stuff, two officers were sitting in a diner window seat eating lunch in the next county over, and some filth walked up out of nowhere and killed both of them in cold blood.

I've had my own grievances with cops in the past, truth be told some let the badge go to their head. Most just want to make it through another day for their families. It takes a special kind of person to put on a uniform and stare down possible death just for going to work...same goes for the military. The actions of one or two don't diminish my respect for the rest.
But the scum that would murder in cold blood...there isn't a public execution too good for any of them.
And some stupid high school <choke> suspends a couple of football players for honoring their Dads and other first responders, on 9/11 no less??? The whole school board should be tarred and feathered and run out of town.

Looks like most of the MSM couldn't even be bothered to comment. No surprise there. The image file limits have been reset. My thoughts and prays go out to Deputy Apolinar, her partner their families and the LASO. Every day police officer go to work knowing the risk of their jobs, and weather all your personal interactions with them have been positive or negative they have a tough job, and most truly are trying to protect and assist their communities and it’s residents.
I will say that a small percent of cops are bad apples (They come in every walk of life) and some let the badge go to their head, but I will also say that a high percent of the problems come from people who don’t listen, respect or follow the law and are usually given a chance to avoid arrest or a physical altercation but chose not to.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the deputies.
I waited a bit to post because of my views but seriously--to these activist groups and the media--YOU OUGHT TO BE VERY ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!!! You are not fixing society's ills--you are responsible for a lot of them, and making the issues worse. It doesn't matter who is right or wrong, but someone was nearly killed by a subhuman piece of garbage. I even recall seeing on TV yesterday how certain members of a certain activist group (yeah, we all know who) were chanting for this woman's death.

Cody, you have to keep in mind that all the people writing for or talking for the general public have their own agenda that they want to push on others.
here are few examples i have seen recently.
while i was reading a very interesting report about this female doctor who was making great head way into understanding a deadly disease.then right in the middle of the article there was inserted a long paragraph about her being a lesbian.since being a lesbian has no bearing on her ability as a researcher.i have to wonder what was the writer's agenda for adding this off topic paragraph.
this next one really got my blood boiling.because it shows the bias in news reporting when a minority is involved and they are not the victim.
on april 24,2020 in a Fresno Ca courtroom Kori Ali Muhammad pled guilty to four murders.Kori, who is black' said he killed the 4 men because they were white.he also pled guilty to trying to kill others because they were white.here is his score card:
Muhammad was convicted of first-degree murder for Jackson's slaying; second-degree murder for Williams, Randalls and Gassett; four counts of attempted murder; one count of shooting at an occupied vehicle and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
the above could be considered a straight forward news report.but since the media is always trying to stir up action to get headlines.so i have to ask what was their agenda in down playing these tragedies.
i wondered why was there no white lives matter rally,no protest about people being murder due to what color their skin was.and most importantly there was no media coverage after the first report of the trial.
this is my 1st and last post of this type.
