Oh yeah, baby!!!! I've taken this car for granted because there seem to be so many survivors, but man, I like it!!!! I was out on a walk the other day and had a nice conversation with the owner of a silver '76 Convertible. We agreed that we have to watch out for other cars when driving a classic in modern traffic!
What makes me happy about this one is that not only are we FINALLY getting a 1/64 version of one of THE most iconic American cars, but from the most accurate of 1/64 makers these days. And that big 500 CI engine we get to see, too!!!! Yeah, Matchbox has a convertible coming, and I will buy it, but this is a work of art!!!
(BTW, don't be surprised if a convertible version is coming down the pike at some point. I DO NOT have any knowledge of this being fact, but I did see a listing somewhere of upcoming models that includes the 1975 DeVille and the 1970 Impala as custom conevertible lowriders. Though lowriders are NOT my thing, I am quite looking forward to some convertibles of this baby!!!!! Woo hoo!!!)

The green car is also similar to the car driven by the teenage killer in the "Cold Case" episode "The Key", but that car had a white top and interior.
This reminds me of the ending of Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. Clint Eastwood driving a white convertible Eldorado down the highway, a bittersweet/tragic end. Let’s keep those Eldorados coming!
I would have to say I like the green one the most. Honestly it's such a hard choice to make between them two.
I'm sure we will be having LOTS of choices over the coming months / years with this! If you're not in a rush, you might wait to see what your local Cadillac dealership (Walmart) gets in its stock and wait for the color combo that appeals! CADILLAC ELDOARDO!!!
