I don't know if others experience this or just me, but is there something I can adjust to stay logged in longer, seems like I get logged out every 10 minutes or so if I'm not actively flipping through pages or something, which is kind of a problem since it sometimes takes me awhile to compose a post I'm writing, or to add photos to a post, or even just looking through the replies on a page in the thread, and I guess this is not recognized as activity., so I'm logged out over and over again....any help is appreciated, thanks,
    Doug

Ticking the ‘Remember Me’ box when you login should stop this.
Try logging out, then go to the home page https://www.diecastgarage.org and log in, ticking the remember me.

i think if you log back in while on a different page it doesn’t remember you, so make sure you go to the home page.

Thanks, I'm giving it a try now, or I guess I'll know better next time I compose something .long, or step away from the computer for a short time.

When I used to have issues with Firefox crashing at random times, I would type out comments I wanted to make into Microsoft Word and leave that sit. When I was done, just copy and paste and submit the comment. If Firefox crashed, no big deal, still had my comment. And if Word crashed, no big deal since it autosaves at intervals, so double protected. Nothing worse than having to re-type a long comment over again, I know how that is.

Thanks for the tip, you got me to remember when I used to do that years back with my long picture story threads, where I used to compose everything with the photo IMG codes in notepad, and just copy and paste in the post the way you suggested.

The site auto-saves your reply every 60 seconds if you didn't submit it.
There's a prompt to restore your unsubmitted reply when you return to the topic. It will show up in the reply field.

Picture posting question: Whenever I post a pic, the picture(s) show up fine in my posting, but there's also pics that show up at the bottom of my post that says "Attached files". There's no need for them to appear there in my opinion, so is there a setting I need to do to make them not appear? I load my pics directly from my computer, no hosting site involved. You can see an example in my latest post "Pumpkin Cars" in the matchbox forum. Thanks

Have you chosen the size for all your attached pics?
Usually those that have no size set will show up like you said.

                    How are you adding photos?

Try following the overly simplified steps illustrated below.

                    #1 select UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS
#2 a new 'box' opens below the text box. Select "upload attachments" if using a photo from your hard drive.
#3 select a size when you insert it into the text box. Make sure to click in the text box first to place your photo in the proper location you desire.

Click image for larger version Name:	example005.jpg Views:	7 Size:	117.2 KB ID:	19783

EDIT - FYI, I don't know if my method is a better way or not, but it's what's been working for me.

That's how I do it. Twice now I've had a hitch in the git along and had to delete everything and start over, but 98% of the time this method works just fine.

Keep getting this when clicking on my notifications. And I'm logged in. Could this be Firefox related? I've been getting a lot of weird bugs with it as of late. I got a new computer, and while I typically use Chrome, I have no intention of installing it on this PC.

I just took a look at your profile on the control panel and I don't see anything changed. I'll run it by Skwerl and see if she sees anything.

Is this still happening Cody and PJ?
I can't find anything obvious, and I can't replicate it with my test id. I'm using firefox.

You could try the old 'clear cache and cookies' and see if that helps.
