  • Tomica Sighted in Power Rangers.

I've got into watching Power Rangers again (hadn't actively since Mystic Force?), and was watching an episode of Lightspeed Rescue this morning (gotta take a test at the community college; 45 minutes away). In a part of the Japanese Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive footage it used (as with most Power Rangers series, it is based on, and often uses Sentai footage for certain scenes) for the Zord scene in this episode; I noticed basically every vehicle in the street scenes are Tomica. Probably in the dozens if not hundreds; ranging from the Pocket Cars era into the 1990s. It's definitely better when they don't use CGI!

Being loaded onto MedRescue Zord (happens after last photo); can't get anything to go under my first two photos.

I totally agree with the CGI comment! Can you imagine Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, the original Superman movie with Christopher Reeve, or, for Canadians who might know what I am talking about "The Friendly Giant"? Of the ones I mention, only Mr. Rogers used 1/64, and to me, a diecast fanatic, that was the attraction of the whole show.
