  • '58 Chevy Apache Fire Rescue

From a recent 'Auto Show' release in 2020 comes this fire rescue '58 Apache. Unlike some previous fire trucks this lacks any insert in the bed for hoses or other equipment.

This one was a disappointment to me because all it really is is a red and white pickup with a roof light and fender siren. I really wonder why, since they had the stuff, they didn't include the insert for the hoses and other fire related equipment.

Nice bright pictures. Trucks are always great to see.
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

And perfectly bone stock. That one on the Squarebody Chevy, using the lowered casting, is an eyesore!

I guess because it is a rescue unit was why they left the firefighting stuff out? I'm wondering why they don't have an air tank/toolbox setup like the old LACoFD paramedic squads?

GREAT pix of this one- although i'm not thrilled with it either. the markings are a little goofy, and i agree they could have put something in back. still a decent addition to the fleet.

Overall I’m happy with this model. I know the tailgate is empty and it would have been nice with some equipment in it, but for the price I can’t complain. Also easy to customize and add a stokes basket or something to the rear.
