  • When a new post is "awaiting moderator approval"...

what happens on the "moderator" end? Does the software notify the "moderator(s)" there's a post "awaiting approval"? Is the post visible to anyone but the "moderator" and original poster?

I ask, because it seems any time I want to post more than 5 photos (I'm assuming a limit before some trigger is tripped) my resulting post has to be approved. The latest had 8 photos to be posted. All are under 800 pixels wide to keep them within requested sizes. One was a tall photo...but skinny.

I'm just trying to figure out how to post without triggering whatever is causing me to be "unapproved". I know I've posted the same basic complaint now three times, but it's frustrating. And kinda turning me off to remaining active here.

Yeah, yeah, I could just use fewer photos, or fewer words. But that's not the way it "used to be".

Anyway, you guys are doing a great job here...keep it up.

Yeah, I just saw that and dismissed it. I didn't even look, I saw it was you that posted but for some reason it was flagged as spam. I really don't understand, stuff I indicate is spam goes through, but a poster like yourself is being tagged as spam. <sigh>
The image file limits have been reset. We have over-limit warnings for the past 3 months and I've had to lower the image file limits. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I know I've mentioned many times before, but it is very important to downsize images - doesn't matter if they are hosted elsewhere or here. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The new limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.
