  • Hotwheels Old Number 5 Christmas Edition

These are one of my favorite Hotwheels castings because they are all metal made very well, and they are highly detailed with a lot of Christmas colors🎄 I thought this was a great idea for Hotwheels to come out with die cast just for the holidays in 1997. I wish they would do more special editions like this👍 And old number 5 is the only die cast casting for the Ahrens Fox fire engine with the big silver “Chromed Sphere” in the front I believe🤔

It's a slightly bigger scale than HW but Del Prado made an Ahrens Fox as well.

I don't remember these, I probably would have wanted them had I ever seen them.

Must have one of them if I will have the chance to find one!

Franklin Mint did one too, in it's pewter "Fire Engines of the World" series...also bigger by about an inch than three-inch...TootsieToy did one too, in the thirties/forties....but much cruder or less realistic casting...probably slushmold rather than diecast...
