Ryu Asada's favorite van, popular in Japanese tuner culture and a generation largely absent in any scale, was just leaked to the @hotwheelsdreamteam Instagram today.

Not only is this a nice looking casting and well-done, I'm marveling at the customization possibilities as well.

All the earlier Dodge vans and the generic version have been used by me for customs. Two of the bad features of most of them have been colored glass (instead of clear) and a large glass roof. I see in this photo the long glass roof persists.

    Otherwise, this one looks GREAT!

Indeed! The Car Culture version, if there is one, it might have a solid roof.

I didn't know that Dodge van racing is a thing in Japan.
Here's a video to enlighten others that may not be aware:

Oh this is nice, thanks for posting it, so since I'm seeing mainline wheels, does it mean it is going to be in the $1 price range?

Cool video Mark, so what year are these vans, and where did they get them all in Japan?

It's the plain old boring cars that often get overlooked by most toymakers.

Looks good! I am sure, in customs, you could simply paint over the roof; but I like all-metal. Especially on $5 premium castings. Plus, a metal roof would be good for promotional releases. Big wide area for logos. At least, not being a panel van, prevents Pop Culture releases.

I just watched this video. Insane! I'd be scared racing with vans, but the idea of drifting one is terrifying. Watch it. Thanks, Mark!

These vans were made from 1994 to 2003 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
