One model I keep a casual eye out for is the Kidco / Universal Chevy pickup. As far as I can tell the base model began with Kidco, so to my way of thinking it is a Kidco model. The Camper is only one variant, there are others. There is a plain stepside pickup, another has stake sides added, and yet another has a huge wing in back, all on the same base model.

After Kidco closed, this model continued under various Universal brands and trade names in various guises. *Usually* Kidco marked the base of their models, and Universal as a rule does not (on some models there is a "U" within a circle, about as close to marking the base as Universal gets). My brown variants (I have two) do not have the Kidco name on the base, so my presumption pending more convincing proof is that these were issued under one or another of the Universal brands or trade names.
