  • What will 2020 bring?

Maybe I have missed the info, but does anybody know, what new castings can be expected from AW in 2020?

  • #2
The next release is supposed to be Dec 2019 but in AW's world that means 2020. Looks like more trucks coming and some trailers.

Trailers? Where did you read this? I haven't seen anything on Facebook...
Their website hasn't had a news update since January 2018...

Yeah, saw that, and also a Jeep Wrangler new tooling.

The Wrangler has a trailer hitch. It's looks like a usable hitch rather than a replica of the usual Jeep hitch.

Right now I have parking lots of Barracudas, Galaxies, Comets, Impalas, and that 61 Dodge. Get the hint? I don't know why they thought we needed another version of the F150 but whatever.
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

Mid 60s IH Travelall, 61 IH Scout, '64 Imperial sedan, late 50s-'early '90s full size wagons, and more every day cars of the 60s-90s would be awesome. Maybe we start a stickied casting want list like we did on the previous forum?

You're talking!!!! I was thinking the '64 Imperial recently as well. I'm not even a MOPAR guy particularly, but no MOPAR wagons circa 1965 through the mid 70s???? John Lennon had a green Town & Country when he lived in NYC. Growing up, I remember an old guy who owned a rental property across the street who came around to fix things in his blue 1972 Plymouth Wagon . . . the one with the "Shaver" front end. Love the fuselage! Valiant; more Falcons; Oldsmobile Starfire; where are the Sixties Cadillacs, preferably four doors?; '65 -'69 Corvair, but yeah, EVERY DAY CARS would be my preference!!!! (Beyond AW's scope, I'd love a Jaguar Mark II)

Stay tuned for more trucks and Imports. GL and M2 strayed off in those directions and AW is following.

Yes, I agree. Like most everything in this country, it is "where the money is" and dollars are our votes. It's understandable, especially since there is so much competition for our dollars. Greenlight seems to be mopping the floors with new releases. Lots of new castings each year, and that must be overwhelming for companies like Round 2 who don't seem to be doing many new castings. JL and Racing are re-releases, while Auto World seems to have only a couple new ones each year. If that is all they can afford, they are going to be ambushed by Greenlight. Honestly, it is impossible to keep up with the 1/64 diecast these days.

Here's a blogpost if anyone wants to see pictures.

La marque américaine Auto World a dévoilé il y a peu les premières images d’un prototype imprimé en 3D de Dodge Stealth R/T qui va bientôt voir le jour !
