  • 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe

I found this older release Matchbox 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe on a dilapidated card at a thrift store early this year, and had to do something to make it look a little less toy-like. This wheel swap (from a Matchbox Globe Trotters casting I got on clearance as a wheel donor, and detail painted further) with a hint of custom detailing, makes this casting look almost like a premium item instead of a mainline Matchbox from almost a decade ago.

Still enjoying the ride of my 2011 ,although , only the 4 door with 3.0, V-6 engine , it has some nice pickup and runs great on the highway. Behold the original dealer's Lot Pic Sadly , I've never seen a 4 dr model in miniature but I try to hang on to every Caddy I find .Click image for larger version

Hot Wheels made a 2009 CTS-V 4-door, it's one of my favorite modern muscle car castings to work on. Here's my most recent one, with light and interior detail and a Hongwell "CC" series fantasy casting wheelswap.

Wow - the wheel swap really makes that a sharp looking ride - along with the extra little detail trim.

I think the CTS coupe was issued only in 2 colors and then disappeared. Too bad, they should reissue it. The real coupe is a killer and I see a lot of them on the road. I'm very sorry Caddy decided to drop this car in favor of the 2 door ATS Booooo…..
