OK, here's the ISEKI base. When I compared all the bases of the models I have, they were all the same. Even the Alpha #45 (116-1) is the same. Scale and F36 are no different. Hopefully the pics are bright enough. If not, I can try again tonight. (On my home computer I can see the bases well. On my work computer the screen is very dark and I can't see much.)

Group shot, just because I had them all together.

        Thanks Rick.

The pics are a bit dark, but I think I can make out scale as 1/66? Is that correct? I guess that's what it should be because that's what it says on the box (as far as I know).

The only version that would/should/might be different is the very first ISEKI listed from the F36 run. And I'm only guessing this because of what the books say. Every variation after that first model has listed as "change in scale on the base" ... the first model is listed with no specific info, so we don't really know what it is/was supposed to be.

I guess without having an actual known first variation in hand, we'll never really know what's imprinted on that first model. But, your ISEKI does look like the first version, as the color looks more BLUE than NAVY BLUE, don't you think so? (at least in your first photo it sure looks more like regular blue; but your later pics it looks darker).

If it is, and the bases are the same, then I'm stumped. An error in the book? I might have to try and ask on one of the Japanese Tomica groups....

Yes, 1/66 is the scale on all the bases that I have.

My thought is that despite what the color appears to be in the pictures, my ISEKI is the later version (#4) or (#7). The scale section/box is raised away from the base like it was added on to the plastic casting for the "new" scale of 1/66. I think if we found the early/first version there wouldn't be that rectangular raised section around the scale. Hope that makes sense.

I think I found one online after searching with Japanese text = トミカ NO.F36-1 ポルシェ 956 ISEKI ... https://www.mercari.com/jp/items/m97978990387/

            The scale is 1/65
