Hubley Corvair...seldom seen first generation *and* 4 door! And made in the USA...haven't seen that in a looooooong time.
The image file limits have been reset. We have over-limit warnings for the past 3 months and I've had to lower the image file limits. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I know I've mentioned many times before, but it is very important to downsize images - doesn't matter if they are hosted elsewhere or here. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The new limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

I have one of these... somewhere. I don't think it's as nice as this one, though.

It just fits in a jammer slot, most of the Hubleys are a bit on the big side for that. I read somewhere recently that they are scaled 1/60, all I know for sure is they scale very well beside each other, the School Bus dwarfs this Corvair...as it should.

These are great looking. Never seen them in the wild over here.

My first was a blue Square 'Bird, I picked up in the local flea market must be almost 20 years ago. Didn't think much about it until I showed it at Swifty's a few years back and learned more about Hubley Real Toys and the predecessor Burslem (Canada) Real Types. I've been on the hunt for the past couple of years, finally got the School Bus (cheap because it has a non-original set of wheels and came in a lot - probably model railroad decoration), the only model left to cross off the list is the early Ford Falcon...but there are minor variants I keep finding, just missed a Burslem variant of the Chevy pickup, knew I should have jumped when I had the chance but dragged my feet and lost out...the only one I've seen in all that looking. There are a couple variants of the Metro Delivery van that I've only seen twice, I bid feverishly last I saw them and still got outbid. There is an avid (some might say rabid) cult following for these models.
