Something I've been putting together for the past couple of months in my spare time...guess what it is?

If I had just one guess, I'd think it was part of some sort of rain water collection system, maybe for irrigation, but I don't know, it could just as easily be the cloths washer broke down and you weren't going to spend the ridiculous money they want for a new one, so you created your own.

Still could use some tweaks. First stage is working well, got a clog in the drain but I know what that is and just don't feel like fooling with it today, doesn't impact running, but does impact cleaning after a week's run or so (likely more often since it's been neglected for a couple months, judging by what *did* come out of there today.
Second stage is iffy. It isn't processing the way I had intended, so I'm mulling over a modification. I have the extra pipe available, would need to shut down, reverse two pipes and put a couple uprights to the third stage. That would isolate the second stage, might eliminate the top loop and come directly off the two side loops and out the center drain. As it sits I think the water going into the third stage is carrying the effluent with it, defeating the purpose. Third stage is working great, exactly what it is supposed to do, just need it to mature and work its magic. Fourth stage is hard to say without a testing kit for nitrates and nitrites. Overall it is certainly an improvement over nothing (which I've had to deal with since the last pump broke), and I've increased the volume being processed by at least twice, I think because of the overflow I had to install that I'm probably moving more like 4 times as much water as I did before, which should put me a good bit closer to where I should be for what this needs to do.
So, let it run tonight, tomorrow drain and rework the second to third stage exchange, and see if that doesn't help solve the one issue...
Who needs legos, all I need is pipe and fittings!

You gave some hints, so I had a good hunch last night, but thought I'd wait to see if anyone else guessed it, and no one tried, so here goes.
First I ruled out a pool cleaning system, since you made mention it has been neglected for a couple months, and I think you would have been using a pool if you had one because of the hot weather, so I've figured it to be a fish pond, or water garden feature, or whatever they call them, you have in the yard that needs filtering.DougComment

That looks like a plant bog perhaps? But it’s definitely something to with a koi or goldfish pond. To the right of the picture on the ground is a black plastic drum. I think it might be an Aquascapes pressurized koi filter, either 2000 GPM or 4000 GPM pressurized koi filter.Comment

When I bought the house it was a fixer upper and we spent our allotment making the inside livable. The pool filter was shattered, I presume by a riding lawn mower judging by the tire mark left on the broken pipe. To prevent mosquitoes, I bought 10 feeder goldfish and a Plecostomus (sp?) and put them in there. Well, here we are about 5 years later and the brother in law added two turtles and some Koi, so now there are over 100 fish that I was able to count last year, who knows how many now.
Cleared the blockage in the drain this afternoon (haven't been feeling well enough to mess with it earlier), and broke the bottom drain...
...now I got to climb up underneath, not something I can do easily and I'm really not looking forward to. So...bright idea...I'll go work on the other part. Disassembled in stages so I didn't have to tear everything apart, went tolerably well, got the pipes flipped, removed the extra loops out of the top, got it all back together...now all I have to do is cut two 26 1/2 inch pieces of 1 1/2 pipe. I picked the pipe up and looked, twice, happy I have the right size (there is more than one size laying around). Cut both pieces as the daylight is fading, walk them over to install....and they are 1 1/4 pipe. 
I can't win.
It is not a good day for me to be working on things, so I am not about to mess with anything to do with the site tonight. It will just have to wait.

Good eye! Too small for my needs, but it has a UV light that I might try to route the water through on the way in.
Plants can be grown in the biocenosis baskets, but I think I will leave them unplanted, the process will remain stable a lot longer if it isn't disturbed by plant roots (and nosey fish, why that part is done outside the pond).Comment

Turkey's air force still operates the F-4 Phantom, they received upgrades similar to the ones applied to Israel's now retired F-4s.
Improvements to the electronics and wiring resulted in 20 kilometers (~15 miles) of wiring replaced for a net loss of 725 KG (1 600 lbs) in weight.
