    • Oh joy - we go from negative temps to 30 above tomorrow and high chance of freezing rain and then temps back down and snow. Guess I had better sharpen the claw on those little hamsters that power my hamster van.

        • Don't worry, governments have signed an agreement to commit to arrange to strategize meetings in the yet-to-be-determined-future to agree in principle to prepare a series of new seating proposals on the main deck. Everything's gonna be fine.

How's your shingles doing, Pastor? I hope they pass as "easily" as they did for my brother-in-law. Couple weeks of relatively light but still painful rash, and then they went away. I know some folks get it pretty bad...

This arctic cold spell seems to have intensified them - good news is they have not spread from the original area but there are moments I just want to go out and roll in the snow and freeze everything.

Is women and children first still a thing.... Not that we should be concerned about lifeboats, just curiosity..

                      • Current temp is negative 9 with a wind chill of negative 37. At least we did not get snow or freezing rain but to the east of Bismarck everything is shut down due to blizzard conditions. Our two cats say they are so glad they are spoiled house cats!

                          • So Monday is the MLK holiday, usually the biggest day of the year for the Monday only flea market me and my friends like to go to on the Monday holidays, we've been looking forward to it since before Christmas when we planned meeting there, but this afternoon my friend gives me the bad news that he hurt his back this weekend, and so he and his wife wont be going.

I thought I might just go alone then, and do a quick pass through, but then while we were talking the temperature was brought up, they are talking possibly 30's right about daybreak when we typically arrive, so even if I try really hard to deal with the cold that time of day, will the dealers even be there???? It is all outside you know, and I probably wouldn't be standing around tables waiting for shoppers who may or may not show up with it that cold.

I didn't think about Webster being open, I think the cold will hit in earnest Monday night and Tuesday night, and even then we're talking 28-32 in my neck of the woods north of you. To my way of thinking, 32 isn't that cold if you dress right. Standing around in a wind might make me change my mind about that, but there would still be the sellers under cover.

Sorry to hear your friend hurt his back, I hope he mends soon. The cold can sure aggravate something like that...
