    Replaced my hamster van this past Monday. Ended up at the same dealership where I got it back in 2013. The sign in their service department notes the family business started selling Kaiser-Frazer followed by Willys and Jeep. They then had Studebakers and Packard. They had the Edsel franchise which opened the door to them to become a Ford-Mercury-Lincoln dealership and finally Chrysler. Today they are an independent dealer and the authorized service center in western North Dakota for Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, etc. And yes, they had such cars on their lot as well as this 2019 Mazda CX-5 that we bought. It will become the wife's new ride and I will take over her 2015 Subaru Forester for my work car. Thought it was cool to read their history and know they had been an Edsel dealer at one time.

      congrats on the new ride.
      PJ,i think Velma will enjoy it....

      as for your snow pic..i have more snow on my porch than you have on your whole drive way.

        Congrats on the nice looking new car John, I drove little Mazda trucks from 1986 to 99, they were well made vehicles, I expect it'll give you a lot of good years.

            Didn't know he was so ill, I do remember hearing sometime ago that he had lung cancer, though I didn't realize he wasn't winning the battle, he certainly was well loved by many and had a huge following, I remember occasionally listening to his show on my little portable radio during my lunch break back in the 90's, I remember him saying once back then how when asked about if he believed in what he says, he'd say he was just an entertainer, and say something about his job was to attract and keep an audience for the advertisers and sponsors, or something funny but true like that, never really saying he believed all of it.....

            ....but like now, I really didn't indulge too much in any secular radio in those days, during the work day I would just typically have Christian radio on back then, and after my disorder came to light in 2004 I gradually moved away from following politics and things that might instill fear in me or make me anxious, but even today if their is something big going on in politics or just news in general I will on rare occasion turn on news talk radio to hear more about it.

                As an adopted North Dakotan I find it a bit scary that it is the middle of February and we still just have these dustings of snow. Most winters my driveway would be like your porch. Do take care, my friend, with all of that snow shoveling you are doing.

                  This is our fifth Mazda. Had a little GLC Wagon back in the early 1980's followed by the MPV Van that had the unique passenger car style opening rear door on the passenger side. Later had two 323's - one that I was involved in a crash at 65 mph and the other that took out a deer - we decided gold was not a good color as it matched the color of the deer fur. All of them have been good cars for us.

                          It was like upper 70's before lunch, then at lunch the rain and cold front moved in, and temp started to drop, down to mid 50's right now, with a low near upper 40's tonight

                            it is down the low teens right now..but they are calling for 1 to 3 inches of snow from sat night to sunday afternoon.
