Konami is better known I believe for video games, but they did produce a modest series of diecast focused on Japanese domestic models, as well as some science fiction oriented models.

I haven't held any of the sci-fi models to comment on scale or construction, but the autos compare favorably with Kyosho. Indeed, some of the Konami models appear to have been reissued in a Kyosho series called Dydo.

I know enough about all this to be open to knowledgeable correction, so if I blundered with anything here, feel free to add or correct - please.
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

jt3 - Very nice '69 Nissan Fairlady Z. I remember reading a posting on Swifty's several years ago reporting that all Dydo simple kit models were made by Kyosho. Many Dydos closely resemble or are exactly the same as original 1/64 Kyosho Minicar Collection models sold in Japan at Circle K SunKus convenient stores. However, there were some DyDo kit models like the Ferrari 250 GT SWB & 250 GT Lusso that do not seem to be featured in any Kyosho Ferrari Series Minicar Collections. This Konami Nissan Fairlady Z model appears to have more details than the Dydo Kyosho models.

The Ferrari series Dydo were a completely different line of models, could well be Kyosho originals, I don't know enough to speak knowledgeably on that.

The second series (although I think it was issued first) is comprised of mostly former Konami models. I think one or two were not found previously as Konami, and to date the only ones I have are the Toyota Celicas.
