  • "Approved" versus "Unapproved" posts

Just since yesterday all my posts with any number of photos, resized to the proper pixel width (according to Flickr's "share" button/process and sharing via the "photo page"), are being held up for "approval" before they are allowed to post. When under "approval" I am not allowed to edit my posts.

It was suggested it might be the number of photos I was trying to add to a single post, but I've seen posts from yesterday and today with 11 photos...so there's no "6 photo" or "10 photo" limit affecting other folks' posts. Mine are totaling maximum 6 photos, all now around 800 pixels wide.

Is this "approval" requirement affecting anyone else who is posting today or yesterday?

I have not had that problem but have noticed some bumps or glitzes in the system of late - pictures from others not showing up, etc.

We're trying to figure this one out.

If anything, it doesn't seem to be directly related to the "number of photos" limit, but has to do with the number if URLs in a post. Flickr has a way of sticking 3 or 4 urls in the links we use when we grab our photos from their website. I made a test post yesterday, and it wasn't flagged for moderation.... so further investigation is needed.

I know there was another post where someone included a bunch of links that got flagged. I think it was a post regarding a Ford Restaurant?

Rest assured we're not singling you out. It's something with vBulletin, and we're not sure of the reason...

Blair, I know it might be a hassle, but can you try doing a couple, or three, test posts with Flickr photos, just like you always do them. One with 5, 6, and 7 photos? I'll do the same and let's see what the results are.

        I started a test thread here: https://www.diecastgarage.org/node/116766
