This was another of my finds at a Walmart that is somewhat out of the way for me. M2 does not use the NAPCO name, logo, etc. on their 4x4 '58-'59 Chevy and GMC trucks, but the model year, appearance of the axles, and wheel & hub appearance, totally evoke this long defunct, somewhat obscure company with a classic "rags to riches" backstory and their "Mountain Goat" 4WD conversions. The factory hue of Code #80853 Golden Yellow is a good color for an old truck, too.
Since this casting would be absurdly rare as a real truck, I opted to just detail some stuff, put a heavier duty rear bumper on it, and lightly weather it under the hood, and call it a day until I can get license plates on it along with maybe a trailer hitch, and made it look like a concours-restored show truck.
