    • Blair - over the years I have managed to add most of the models from that Maisto set that you shared from various sales and trades - of course one I am missing is the airport crash truck

VIM = "Foam making vehicle" (haven't found the literal translation, but here's a guess: V=vehicle (spelled in French); M=Mousse (the foam); I=?.)
This one's for Aeroport Pau Pyrenees.
"I" as in "Interventon" or I as in "Incinde" to me. Which would translate as Foam Intervention Vehicle, or Foam Fire Vehicle.

          am surprised they haven't

There's a model of this. I have it.

Well, it's a model of tail no. 130, while the photo you found is of 132. The model is by Corgi, believe it or not.

A couple years ago I broke (and subsequently lost, apparently) the "stinger" that keeps the tail boom from touching the deck, so I have to balance the model on the skids, which is a delicate balance though it seems like it shouldn't be so. Doesn't take much to tip the model back on its butt...so to speak.

Firehawk model by New Ray's "Sky Pilot" series of helicopters; fly crew figures from an N-scale group with an N-scale Firehawk that came in a Horico candy toy box by Kaiyodo (from one of two--or were there three?-- "The Fire Fighter Collection" series)...but the figures are almost correct for the New Ray larger model, and way too big for the Kaiyodo toy.

              • Sadly, most of my relevant photos for "airport" or air operations are in Photobucket, and PB is giving me really big headaches these days. I can't even view, let alone 'grab' the link, from PB for most of my photos there. I've sent in a few "help" requests to PB today and last week with no response yet on what the problem is. Of course, Sunday is a day off, so no help expected til later this coming week.

Meanwhile, here's one of my few remaining available photos from Flickr:

I also forgot what the "I" in "VIM" means....silly me....without having to go to google, it shoulda been obvious to me: Vehicle Incendie Mousse....or Foam Fire apparatus....duh!

Good 'catch' on the helicopters in the 10 pack, Brian. I, of course, knew they were there, and probably would have featured them...but I was fixated on the Oshkosh because I knew it was 'rare' by virtue of probably not having been released as a single in that color/livery.

But there was also the transport aircraft...a 4-engine pregnant guppy of an airplane...never been out of the package.

                            • You want to talk about "expensive" for its size? How about these?

Those are each about a 3/4-inch long. And cost a little over $5 each. I believe I have some even smaller somewhere.
