Hobby Lobby is absurdly expensive and the coupon isn't really that great of a deal. Hence why I've been building customs from mainlines and thrift finds so much
LOL, don't get me started! The JL 1968 Impala with the "collector tin" (yawn) is $12.99 at my Hobby Lobby! 40% off a Highway Robbery makes it an "Off Ramp Robbery"
That is a nice looking truck. I wouldn't mind finding it in the wild. GL is and has been pretty scarce around here for quite awhile. Only Meijers carries them, Hobby Lobby also, but seldom on the pegs and prices are awful high on everything in the store. I also refuse to get into their "COUPON" hype, wasting my time and ink looking and printing... Don't like that place at all. I think they are a joke!!!

Lookin good. i saved myself the headache and just ordered all the AW sets to get all 4 pickups. i'm thrilled with the aftermarket rims on them. looking forward to seeing more. it would be nice if they went forward with marking their tires...
After several failed attempts (at which I did get other AW castings from this release), I finally scored an AW '73 C10 stepside in red & white at Walmart on West 11th in Eugene, OR last month. Due to the dodgy-looking tampos on the whitewall tires, I turned the tires inside out, and may eventually paint the interior in this one red, maybe even make a papercraft camper shell in Evan Designs Model Builder to add a little something to the design.
AW may want to contemplate putting period-correct tire company markings (such as Firestone Discoverer, Bridgestone Desert Dueler, Kelly-Springfield Golden Sonic 78, Goodyear Suburbanite and Hi-Miler Xtra Grip, BF Goodrich Land Terrain, General Grabber, etc.) on their truck tires in the future, now that they've started putting Vogue Tyre gold-line whitewalls and white-letter Goodyear Wide Ovals on some of their passenger cars.
