Although modern luxury vehicles are not really my cup of tea, I really like these two lovely Bentleys from Mini GT – the Flying Spur and Continental GT Speed.

The design of modern Bentleys is kinda nice – they share that similar look of other high end vehicles from the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Aston-Martin.

Gone are the days when the only way to tell between a Bentley and a Rolls-Royce was by the shape of the grill and the mascot on top.

Modern Rolls-Royces are weird looking machines for sure – especially their SUV the Cullinan. I was driving behind one the other day. An odd looking vehicle which also seemed very out of place on our dirty local roads.

In recent times, Bentley seems to have gone for understated luxury, whereas RR has always been more about opulence.

Oh no! Whilst we have been discussing modern luxury vehicle design trends, the “Head Mechanic” has covertly jacked up the Continental, and is gathering his tools – hammer / block of wood / broken kitchen knife / tin of rusty bolts / bottle of vodka.

Nice work lads! Felled by a lightning fast pork chop to the groin. Poor guy didn’t even see it coming. The pigs also took his vodka.

        • Wow, we have some serious luxury mobiles here with stunning pictures with super clarity with great details.
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

What I would give to drive a vehicle like that just once! Or even better, ride in the back next to the built in drinks cooler!

The closest I've ever come to that is getting a ride in a brand new, chauffer driven Lincoln SUV in LA many years ago. The driver gave us all complimentary chilled bottles of water!

Tina and I, had a Mercedes for a while and I felt more important to strangers even though it was used with 60,000 miles when we finally gave it to her son, and then he later sold it with 245,000 miles would you know the Air Conditioner still worked like a charm. My Mustang started pooping out on the Air in a measly 5 years. I love Ford but we know they have their limitations lol.

                • Oh Btw I just paid thirteen dollars for its annual state taxes on the Stang and I have over 25,000 thousand dollars of parts and labor between the Supercharger and the Mickey Thompson Street and Strip tires she is worth more dead than alive.

Yep, those Superfast Rolls are such great castings! The red Shadow is the later version with plastic front.

The big, green Bentley is Kyosho.

I guess traditionally, manufacturers from Germany like Mercedes, Audi & BMW were supposed to have legendary build quality and reliability. But I've read many reports that prove the opposite.

I don't know. Personally, I would never buy anything other than domestic manufacture, but that's a mostly financially driven decision.

My old boss had a BMW X5 about 20 years ago and he swore he would never buy BMW again. Reliability issues and terrible service from the local dealer.

                            • Holy Moly - what an awesome looking ride! I love that all black look, almost a sleeper.

But I bet it can really shovel with that supercharged V8.

Amazing car Daniel - thanks for sharing the photos.
